IBAMA – Environmental Monitoring
Velp developed the system that monitors environmental crimes throughout the country. Since 2013, the Brazilian Institute of the Environment (Ibama) uses the solution to have a more modern, quick and efficient monitoring.
The traditional paper spreadsheets that were used by Ibama inspectors have been replaced by data collectors, which allows for the electronic elaborations of the infraction notice, with the georeferencement of activities and the printing of proceedings.
The solution developed by Velp makes it possible to photograph environmental occurrences, consult Ibama’s corporative systems and the traceability of the team`s movements, as well as processing calculations and editing texts.
Adding this modern technology to their monitoring process, Ibama guarantees a reduction of time filling out infraction notices, a more efficient communication between federal environmental agents and Ibama’s units, more security while transmitting data, and, consequently, more agility in judging cases of environmental crimes in the country.
